State-to-State

  • A state-to-state transfer is a transfer of vehicle that is already in the owner's name, but registered in a different state. This is the transfer you perform when you have moved to Louisiana and need a Louisiana plate and registration.
  • Most commonly needed:
    • Original title
    • Driver's license
    • Louisiana insurance
  • In some circumstances a vehicle inspection may be needed, but not always. If you have any question, please do not hesitate to give us a call!
  • Prices vary widely depending on many different factors, if you would like a quote, send us a message or give us a call.

Heirship

  • Heirships are title transfers involving one or more deceased individuals and their heirs. Heirship needs are dependent on the heirs, if there is a will, if there is a judgment, if there are no children/heirs etc. In order for us to know what you need, you would first need to come into the office and let us see what you have. From there we can discuss the next steps with this transaction.

Salvage/Reconstructed Titles

  • Was your car totaled by the insurance company? Did you purchase a car and notice the word "Salvage" or "Reconstructed" on the front of your title? Well, you are dealing with a more complicated transfer. Depending on how the title is labeled in the state system, it may be as simple as bringing in an inspection form with the rest of your titling paperwork. But, it may end up being a double title transfer. If you just purchased the vehicle and it is labeled, "reconstructed" there is nothing different that you need to do. That label is there to let you know the vehicle was previously totaled out by insurance.
  • To better assist you with this, we recommended giving us a call or contacting us on the form below. We will more than happy to assist you in anyway we can.

Remove/Add a lien holder

  • Did you just refinance your loan? Did you just pay off your car loan? Well, we are here to help. With most lien removals all we need is your driver's license and lien release document. All owners MUST be present to process this transaction. If one is not able to appear. they must send a power of attorney in their place with the proper documents.
  • To add a lien, we need the original title, UCC agreement OR finance agreement, & driver's license.

Duplicate/Lost Title

  • Did you misplace your car title? Was you car title destroyed in a flood or fire? Well, we can help with that too! You will most commonly need the following:

  • Duplicate title will be mailed out the next business day. Once mailed out, you will receive your new title directly from the State of Louisiana.
